Cory Watson Attorneys thanks all U.S. Veterans for their service and sacrifice to preserve the liberties upon which this country was founded.
Veterans at Cory Watson have contributed to the success of the firm since we were founded in 1995 thanks to their extraordinary work ethic and dedication to the service of our country and clients.
In 2021, Cory Watson was one of only three Birmingham-area employers to be named Birmingham Business Journal Veteran-Friendly employer. Our firm was selected based on efforts to, “hire, recruit, and support career development of military veterans, along with supporting veterans outside of the company through nonprofit work.”
We not only recognize the sacrifice veterans have made in serving our country – we also seek out opportunities for them to grow their careers.
Two Cory Watson employees, intake manager Adrien Amero and client service representative Matthew Stephens, were named 2021 Birmingham Business Journal Veterans of Influence. The award recognizes military veterans who have gone on to have successful careers in Birmingham while positively impacting our community. Amero and Stephens have made significant achievements in their professional careers while maintaining a strong record of innovation and active involvement in Birmingham and beyond. We would not be the award-winning, nationally recognized firm we are without the presence of veterans within our walls.
We are grateful to our veteran clients for allowing us the opportunity to fight for the rights they strive to protect. Currently, Cory Watson’s defective product lawyers are investigating cases from veterans nationwide who suffered partial or total hearing loss as a result of defective 3M Combat Arms Earplugs. These earplugs were sold to the U.S. military and distributed to hundreds of thousands, putting soldiers at risk for permanent hearing loss and tinnitus.
Our attorneys are also actively investigating contaminated drinking water cases at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, where from 1953 to 1987, up to one million people who served, worked, or resided at the base were exposed to drinking water containing harmful chemicals linked to severe medical conditions.
Cory Watson Attorneys is a proud sponsor of the Birmingham Veterans Day Parade and the National Veterans Award Dinner every year in Birmingham. A special recognition to our Matthew Stephens who co-anchors live coverage of the Veterans Day Parade.
