If the cabin in your GM truck or SUV shakes or vibrates at highway speeds, you may qualify for financial compensation.
Cory Watson Attorneys is investigating claims of vibrating cabins on 2014 and newer GM manufactured Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac trucks and SUVs. Potentially affected vehicles are half-ton pickup trucks and full-size SUVs that shake at highway speeds and produce loud noises in the cabin.
Affected Chevy Shake vehicles may include:
- Chevy Silverado 2014-Present
- Chevy Tahoe 2015-Present
- Chevy Suburban 2015-Present
- GMC Sierra 2014-Present
- GMC Yukon/Yukon XL 2015-Present
- Cadillac Escalade 2015-Present
- Cadillac Escalade ESV 2015-Present
GM has yet to issue a recall and instead has opted to send out two service bulletins (one for trucks and another for SUVs) to notify dealerships of the problem and provide possible fixes, although none permanently fix the issue. Because the platform of the vehicles may be at fault, solutions to this problem may run deeper than a few service appointments.
Does Your GM Truck or SUV Have the Chevy Shake?
The K2XX platform underpins GM’s latest generation of full-size pickups and SUVs, subjecting a fleet of vehicles to potentially experiencing this problem in as little as a few hundred miles. The cause of the problem is unknown, and GM’s prescribed fixes have failed to remedy the situation for many drivers.
Symptoms of the “Chevy Shake” may include:
- Insistent vibration
- Shaking vehicle cabin
- Headaches and dizziness

Nissan North America, Inc., which resulted in a nationwide settlement of consumers’ claims of shaking transmissions installed in Nissan and Infiniti SUVs.
In 2017, a California state court jury awarded a $25 million verdict to our plaintiffs after determining that a Nissan SUV’s defective brakes caused an accident that killed three people and resulted in an elderly driver being wrongfully charged with vehicular manslaughter.
