Julianne Z. Boydstun is an associate attorney dedicated to seeking justice and righting wrongs in the Birmingham office of Cory Watson Attorneys.
As a former professional ballerina, Julianne developed a strong commitment to hard work and discipline.
During her two years of dancing for the Alabama Ballet, Julianne loved performing an art in which she could communicate emotionally and intellectually to an audience.
Now an attorney, she aims to utilize this artistry through arguments that effectively communicate the injustice her clients have faced and, in turn, the laws commanding its remedying.
“I enjoy making a jury, judge, or opposing counsel hear my client’s story and understand the injustice my client faced. It’s the same reason why I enjoy ballet – telling a story and making the audience feel a connection,” said Julianne.
Prior to joining Cory Watson Attorneys, she worked as a research attorney for a plaintiff’s firm where she worked on an appeal that set a new precedent for false arrest and malicious prosecution claims.
Her compassion and devotion to justice brought her to the personal injury practice group at Cory Watson Attorneys, where she focuses her practice on motor vehicle accident litigation.
“Advocating for a plaintiff gives me the opportunity to help someone who may be facing the worst circumstances of their life – whether from injuries from a car accident or at the hands of medical malpractice,” said Julianne.
Julianne also enjoys giving back through volunteering and community involvement. She is actively involved in the legal community, volunteering to help with the National Moot Court teams and various trial advocacy competitions hosted by the Cumberland School of Law.
Outside of the office, Julianne continues to support the Alabama Ballet by attending events and occasionally teaches ballet at local studios. In her free time, she enjoys staying active through cycling and walking her two dogs.
