Cory Watson Attorneys’ lead firm investigator Josh Wooten recently passed the Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) exam, a prestigious certification awarded by the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) and will soon have a peer-reviewed paper published.
Wooten set the goal of becoming a Certified Legal Investigator early on in his career to establish himself among the top professionals in his field. After five years of work as an investigator, he dedicated six months to rigorous study while managing his responsibilities at the law firm. In addition to testing and the publication of his peer-reviewed paper titled “Post-Crash Vehicle Data Collection and Retrieval,” Wooten must participate in continuing education to maintain his certification.

By earning this certification, Wooten joins a group of only 59 Certified Legal Investigators worldwide, and his original investigative paper will be published in The Legal Investigator, the journal of the National Association of Legal Investigators. Established in 1978, the CLI program requires candidates to pass a rigorous exam that includes oral, written, and practical components.
